Holy Orders
The Sacrament of Holy Orders is the second of two sacraments of service, the other being Holy Matrimony/Marriage. If you feel a call to ordained ministry as a priest or deacon contact the Vocations Director of the Diocese of Buffalo, Rev. Dave Baker, 716-847-5535. The Vocations Director can also help with discernment for Religious Life as a sister or brother.
Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time: thus it is the sacrament of apostolic ministry. It includes three degrees: episcopate, presbyterate and diaconate. CCC 1536
